Basically, the sweep motor wasn't moving the sweep all the way through the cycle, so I'd have to run it down by hand (take the belt off of the motor and turn the pulley until it got to where it needed to be).Īfter I got it where it needed to be, the sweep roller got itself on top of the Attenuator again. This afternoon, after some folks had come in and bowled on it for a while, I got called back down. It ran fine and I bowled another 4 or 5 frames on it with no problems. After watching another machine, I saw that this should never happen and got that straightened out. The wagon wound up on top of the top finger Attenuator arm instead of between the fingers as it should. I ran the machine a half-dozen times on diagnostic mode and everything cycled OK. It works off of a cam arm- when the sweep goes forward, the cam swings around and completes the circut.Īll I did was losen the adjustment screw on the switch and swing it forward a little bit. This is the switch on the right hand side of the machine that tells the machine that the sweep is forward.

Yesterday evening I put the new motor in and was getting error code 74. Having never worked on pinsetters before and not having much more than a crash course in what's going on, I'm having some trouble getting off the ground.
I was told that the motor itself was fine, but the brake wasn't working and Brunswick wasn't selling brake kits anymore. When I got here, the sweep motor was off.
